Owl Lodge Reviews

We had a wonderful stay. The views from the lodge were just stunning. We explored Wells, Glastonbury, Cheddar, WestonsuperMare so a good base for lots of options. The hot tub was a real treat. We visited Wilkins Cider Farm on the advice of a neighbour and treated ourselves to stilton and some local cider! It was great having a washing machine, though the clothes horse is rather rickety.
A beautiful place in a stunning setting. We stayed in Owl Lodge and it was just perfect, it is set in a lovely location and the views are stunning. We arrived quite late in the evening and it was dark so we couldn't appreciate the views until the morning, wow it was so nice to wake up to those views. You can see Glastonbury Tor and it was beautiful to see the changing weather coming over the countryside and to see the sunrise. The lodge itself is lovely and has everything you need, the beds are so comfortable and we slept so well and it was also so peaceful. The owners Jo and Neil have thought of everything and it was lovely to meet them and they also invited us to view the Sea Harrier that they own, wow I highly recommend seeing this as it's not every day you get to see one so close and you can also sit in the cockpit. It was so lovely to see the animals too, alpacas, sheep and ponies. We also got to meet their dog which was so nice. The hot tub was an added bonus and we loved coming back from day trips and then relaxing in there, Jeffrey the alpaca was usually eating the grass in front of us. It was also lovely to view the night sky at the same time, the sky was so clear and the stars so bright. We would highly recommend staying here you won't be disappointed. Thank you Jo and Neil for our wonderful stay, I'm sure we will be back. Karen and Steve.

A delightful place which would like to go back to. There was everything that we needed supplied by the friendly owners. We had many interesting places to visit and we particularly liked Wedmore as a nearby village. I think the four of us would have been happy to just stay in the lodge and not necessarily need to travel about. The hot tub was a bonus. Who needs the beach?
What a surprise, the view I don't think I would ever tire of. The lodge had everything you needed including comfortable beds, which is always a bonus. The owners are very nice and friendly and totally under selling the place, wonderful stay.
Had a lovely 3 night stay in Owl lodge. It was immaculate inside and out with beautiful views.including the Shetland ponys, Alpaca,s and sheep. It was so peaceful and you really couldnt want for anything more. Jo and Neil popped by to invite us to look at their Harrier jump jet!! An absolute treat! and we were told so much information about it I even climbed up into the cockpit. The only downside was that England didnt win the Euros but it definitely didnt stop us enjoying our stay. Thanks Jo and Neil

The lodge is lovely. So peaceful but close to place's in and around Somerset. The host were so friendly. You had everything you needed. The space outside the lodge is great for children. My 2 year old grandson loved going for a walk and seeing the animals. The hot tub was amazing.
Incredible lodge with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Neil and Jo are terrific hosts and are approachable and friendly. The views from Owl lodge are breathtaking and it is bliss to sit and hear nothing but the birds singing and the horses, sheep and alpacas munching grass at the bottom of the garden and to watch the swifts aerial acrobatics. The cherry on the top for me was the complete Sea Harrier which served in the 1982 Falklands conflict. What a dream come true not only to see one of these rare beauties but to actually sit in the cockpit. Incredible break away, a massive thank you Neil and Jo.

A wonderful lodge in a beautiful location. We loved our stay here and felt truly relaxed.
Absolutely lovely place and true to the listing, was very clean and comfortable with amazing views. Hot tub was clean and upto temperature for our arrival. Neil and Jo the owners are lovely and approachable came and asked if my children wanted to go see the RAF plane they have with us and even allowed them to sit in the seat for pictures truly amazing. Thank you. 1010 would recommend.

Owl cottage was private comfortable and warm with the most magnificent view. The hot tub was a great size with the same view. Neil was happy to show and let the family sit in the cockpit of his sea harrier which he is renovating. The only contact I had with Jo was on the phone who seemed equally lovely. My grandchildren loved the animals particularly the miniture horses. Overall a great holiday, fantastic lodge enjoyed by us all.
Unbelievable stay! !! We were incredibly lucky with the weather for my Mum's 60th birthday gathering and I cannot imagine a better place to spend the weekend. Absolutely fantastic holiday. Within 24hours we were looking at future dates to book again. The owners were very polite & accommodating. We loved the facilities, privacy & beautiful surroundings. Especially when their well behaved dog Billy came to visit with his ball. We cannot reccomend this beautiful holiday enough, and have told all our families and friends about it. Until next time. Thank you from Ashley & Matt.

The area is peaceful, calm and relaxing. The property was clean and very comfortable, the sofa and beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped except the fridge was small, as it was only the 2 of us it was fine but if 6 stay, you might struggle. Hot tub was amazing! Beautiful views, friendly locals, helpful welcoming owners and their pets

The location is ideal for those who are wanting peace & tranquillity but a central place surrounded by loads of local beautiful places to see & do. The owners are incredibly friendly too should you require there assistance. Highly Recommended place to say.
The holiday lodge was perfect. The views from the living room were spectacular. Added bonus was the hot tub, we all loved relaxing in there after a busy day out. The area was lovely with many things to see and do. The lodge was kitted out with everything that you needed. Very clean and very new and modern, lovely. The owners were there if needed, though we had nothing to raise with them. Would really recommend and would return, thank you
An absolutely fantastic place to get away from it all. Magical views. Stunning property. Thank you
We loved our stay in Owl Cottage. The view was spectacular and all the facilities were very comfortable and well furnished. So much so that I went and bought the rug in the lounge for my own house as I fell in love with it.

How do you define beauty, peace and tranquility? The answer is easy its Owl Lodge and all the wonderful countryside that surrounds it. I cannot put into words just how perfect Owl Lodge is, I dont think I have ever felt more relaxed and at peace. This would not be possible of course without the wonderful Neil and Jo who own this amazing property, such lovely people and so welcoming. Then there is the added bonus of Billy and Rosie, Neil and Jos dogs who bought their own little piece of joy and happiness every morning. We will miss it so much but we will never forget all the happy memories we have left with. Thank you so much Neil and Jo, we will be back xxx
We had a lovely stay at this beautiful, peaceful lodge. Jo and Neil are excellent hosts and there if needed. Billy the dog is now a lifelong friend, what a lovely gentle dog he is. The lodge is almost new so two tiny improvements, a towel rail in the kitchen, heated if possible and some drawer space in the master bedroom which would be tricky given the sloping roof but I am sure there is a solution. We will most definitely look to visit again, perhaps when the starlings are murmurating.
Stuart
A fantastic lodge, the owner responded immediately within minutes! to any query we had, will definitely be back soon.
Owl Lodge is a wonderful property. Finished to a high standard and has everything you could need. The hot tub was a great bonus. Seeing the ponies and alpacas at the end of the garden was so nice, especially for the children. The owners are very friendly, approachable and helpful. We had such a good stay here. Would thoroughly recommend and hopefully we'll be back!
