About Oakfield

Celebrate a milestone anniversary or special birthday in absolute luxury with a stay in this rural Somerset home. Remarkable inside and out, the six-bedroom home offers space for 16 guests, young and old, to truly unwind. Featuring touches of luxury and an utterly stylish interior, there's enough to keep guests of all ages entertained in this home. Stunning from the very outskirts, the tree-lined property welcomes you to the 7 acres of land in which it sits. Throughout the home, you'll find traditional elements including large columns, original fireplaces and exposed wooden beams, yet the decor is stylish and modern. The heart of the house is the large open-plan living area, home to the kitchen, dining room and one of the lounge areas, with ceiling-to-floor bi-fold doors opening onto the vast garden. Outside make use of the heated swimming pool complete with hard cover and wonderful pool house (open April - September) with outdoor dining area and poolside pizza oven. The tall vaulted ceilings and large windows allow light to stream into the room, making it appear bigger and more impressive than it already is! Ideal for entertaining and sociably cooking dinner, this room is perfect for your family celebration. For a bit of peace and quiet, feel free to head into one of two lounge areas, where you'll find a feature fireplace in each and a TV with a games console in one. Younger kids will love the playroom filled with toys, whilst older youths will no doubt hang around the games room. Despite being on holiday you'll have no excuse not to exercise, as you have a private indoor gym. The six bedrooms are no doubt presented as fashionably as the rest of the property, and two unique mezzanine bedrooms offer a family sleeping space that takes the sting out of having to share with the kids.

We had an awesome family week here, with ages from babies to 70! The cottage really ticks all the boxes, with loads of space for everyone and plenty of activities. The kitchen had everything we needed, which was a big plus. The heated pool was a highlight - we used it all the time, even with the little ones. Absolutely loved our stay!

Oakfields really is a lovely spot for a get-together. We were a group of ten and never ran out of things to do, whether together or alone. The weather was a bit of a downerand we missed having pizza trays, though.

We just spent an amazing week at Oakfield, with 14 of us ranging from 1 to 68 years old! The house and grounds are stunningand honestly, the pool is the best we've ever experienced—really warm, safe stepsand a great size. The pool house is fantastic too, so we didn't have to go far for drinks and snacks. We even had a photographer for a family photo shootand the maze was an ideal backdrop for some memorable photos. The groundsmen are on site, super friendly and helpful, yet very discreet.

This place is truly amazing! There is so much for children to do that we barely saw them! We loved their bedrooms. The lovely walks start right from the garden gate. The staff were really nice and helpful, always there for any issues, like turning the hearing down a lot! The only disappointment is that it's fully booked for ages ahead, so we'll have to wait before we can go again. A real gem.

The house is beautiful, no real negatives! The only thing was that the bottles and recycling bins were full, but we understand that this was the private contractors responsibilty.
