Beautifully appointed cottage with ample space for 4 people, Comfy beds and good showers. Set in the most idyllic countryside setting peaceful and restorative. Great parking arrangements and lovely outside spaces with hot tub and decking.
The place was amazing. Every little detail was catered for in the lodge. We plan to revisit.

A lovely retreat with stunning views
We stayed in Primrose in early September and had a great time. The lodge was beautiful and was clean and well laid out. We could not ask for more. The owners were amazing and regularly kept in touch to make sure everything was okay. The hot tub absolutely made our holiday and the views and surroundings were idyllic. We will definitely be returning.
We stayed at the Primrose from 9th of August 2025 for 6 nights. A delightful property which is thoughtfully decorated and beautifully presented. A vase of fresh flowers were waiting at the table with milk in the fridge and Chocolate cookies, which were welcome after our long drive. The views are amazing, especially at 6am with all the bunnies on the lawn. On the first morning I counted 11! And hearing the cowssheep were welcome too. The Beds were very comfortable. The Bedlinen, towels and Robes a nice touch! were excellent quality. The ShampooConditionerBody wash which I will be changing mine to from now on were very welcome. The overhead shower was also amazing, as was the Hot tub. The owners, Elena and Ed, are very helpful, friendly and always on hand to help or to answer any questions. It is a tranquil place which we would love to return to. PS We visited Forde Abbey two days in a row. The most beautiful Heritage Building and Grounds we have visited so far All in all it was an excellent holiday which flew by all too quickly

The perfect base for a family holiday. The lodge was immaculate and had everything we could have needed for our stay. The owner has thought of everything. It was really spacious, beautifully decorated and the hot tub was a favourite for our girls. The little extras like the robes, games, marshmallows and hot chocolate where lovely it's clear to see how much effort goes into this lodge. Elena was really helpful with any questions we had and gave us some great recommendations for our days out. We really couldn't fault anything here. The views are amazing and stargazing at night was incredible. We will definitely be back.

This was the best lodge we have ever stayed in. It was beautifully laid out and presented, spotlessly clean and had many thoughtful touches to make you feel really welcome. The setting was fantastic and so peaceful it was a little tricky to find at first without any signs, but using what3words was a great help. The hot tub was a lovely added bonus to our weekend stay. We would definitely recommend a stay here!
