This is our 4th time at Heron Lodge, Jo and Neil are fantastic hosts, going above and beyond to get everything just right. We've already booked again. The sunrisesunset views are incredible. And the hot tubs a must, even in the rain!

One of the best holiday lets we've stayed in. Amazing views, all the home comforts, alpacas to greet you and Jo the owner was lovely. The weather was wet but we still visited Wells, Glastonbury Tor, Clarks Shopping Village, the seaside and Bath. Also got to see the harrier jump jet! Would definitely book again for another visit.

Absolutely fantastic stay,! The views from lodge are stunning, sitting on the large patio or in the hot tub. Bonus was Jeffrey the alpaca, who often wandered up to the patio or grazed by the lodge. There is also Alfred another alpaca in the field next to the lodge with three sheep, as well as Billy the owners dog who is very friendly and will nip into the lodge if you dont watch out! Hot tub was great after a day of sightseeing, so many wonderful places to visit close by. Jo the owner is really helpful and she kept us updated and provided candles when we had a power cut. By chance, wed bought a preloaded power bank earlier that day, so we were still able to listen to our portable radio. The Harrier Jet was fantastic to see. Do not hesitate to book this lodge!

What an absolutely fabulous holiday! Jo popped round to maintain the hot tub she is so friendly and approachable. The lodge is lovely and comfortable, a real home away from home and one we already miss! It was very well equipped and the attention to detail with the things provided is great, we have often found holiday lets are lacking things like sharp knives, tin openers and scissors, it may sound small but it makes a huge difference when they are provided. It is ideally located for popping out to local attractions but absolutely fantastic for chilling out and staying put. Every detail was covered and we would absolutely stay again. Thank you for such an amazing break.

An absolute gem of a property there was nothing lacking as all amenities were available and the owners were just lovely. We didnt need their assistance with anything but I would imagine nothing would be too much trouble if we had done. Its just a shame your company Sykes dont show the same level of professionalism and customer service.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful setting, having been greeted by an Alpaca & a Sheep on arrival Albert & Tulip the holiday was set from then on. Plenty to see and do all within 30 minutes drive of the location and everywhere we ate the food was amazing. The lodge was the perfect size for the 6 of us and safe enough for a 2 year old to roam and play. Will be going back for sure.

We were a group of 5 girls celebrating my 40th birthday for the weekend and we had such an amazing time at Heron lodge. Location and comfort of the place was 5 star, the hot tub was an added bonus and we used it both evenings. We would all definitely recommend to others and hopefully will return ourselves one day too!

We loved the views from the property. . Our grandchildren enjoyed the alpacas, sheep and visits from the owners very friendly dog and cat. The owners were welcoming and helpful. Good location for several attractions such as the Tor in Glastonbury, Wells and Cheddar Gorge.

Had the best time when we stayed here. The lodge was beautiful and the views were stunning. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to be self sufficient on a weekend away.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Heron Lodge, and would certainly think of returning. The setting is really stunning and the location is perfect for day trips to a wide variety of interesting places. The reason I would give the stay 4 stars rather than 5 is that it is described as being a luxurious lodge which sets certain expectations. However, elements such as the pillows, duvets, mattresses, towels and bed linen which also hadn't been ironed should have been of much better quality to warrant that descriptor. I am sure many guests will however appreciate the hot tub and it is lovely seeing the animals on the other side of the garden fence from the open plan living area.

Modern, well equiped and spacious, an excellent property that exceeded our expectations. The view across the marshes from the lounge and patio area is superb.

Lovely stay at Heron Lodge we have been a few times now and its always perfect. Views are amazing, lovely quiet spot but ideally located for exploring Somerset.

We booked this property after being let down 4 days before we were meant to spend Christmas in a different lodge in another part of the country. At the time I was so let down but if anything I think it was a blessing in disguise as I dont feel anywhere could have beaten Castle Farm. Such a beautiful setting to spend quality time as a family. The lodge is so spacious that the pictures dont do it justice. The views are absolutely superb, watching the sunrise and sunset out of the lounge windows is magical. I was a bit worried how we would manage on Christmas Day to do dinner and was so surprised how well stocked the kitchen was with enough potspans to do a full dinner. Im not sure what the previous review is about in regards to parking as the lodge next to us had a few cars and we didnt hear anything at all. Was so peaceful and tranquil. Our children loved the morning visits from the alpacas and ponies! Hot tub was lovely and clean and we couldnt have asked for a better place to spend Christmas! One of the best lodges we have stayed in. If youre thinking of booking then you wont be disappointed.

Fantastic property with beautiful views. Property was brilliant, couldn't fault it. It had everything you needed. It was lovely to open the sliding door every morning. Hot tub overlooked the view. Our daughter loved the visiting the ponies, alpacas and playing catch with the dog. Friendly owners. Would definitely recommend!

Heron lodge is really lovely. It was clean and well kept, with all the necessary essentials for a stat that felt like a home from home. Liked the welcome folder with useful info in. We all loved looking out at the trees and seeing all the birds and wildlife, especially the Alpacas My little boy really loved the hot tub, his first ever time in one. Stunning location and views across the Somerset levels, peace and quiet in abundance with such amazing wildlife. The lodge is very well equipped and maintained, and very clean on arrival. The hot tub is a good size and adds that little bit extra to fully enjoy the location and beautiful surroundings. The owners are very friendly and approachable. The Harrier jet on a Sunday morning also adds something different if aircraft are your thing !. Overall we had a great holiday and hope to return.

The lodge itself is stunning, the views are incredible! It is furnished perfectly leaning plenty of room but more than enough in terms of facilities. Some great local towns to visit and Bristol and Bath are both around a 1 hour drive. The hot tub is a perfect way to relax and soak up the views! We went in January and it provided a lovely cosy environment however it is perfectly set up for a summer break too with the patios and garden. The property is perfectly clean and welcoming with some nice touches provided by the owners! Cant recommend this property high enough, for a romantic break, trip away with the kids anything! Book it quick you wont be disappointed!
